Green Door Gourmet is a 350-acre organic farm that features u-pick strawberries grown organically nestled in the hills of Tennessee right on the Cumberland River. This event featured 9-acres of strawberry fields, flaunted gorgeous views, and showcased Nashville’s best local musicians. This event ran 6 days a week for nearly 2 months weather permitting (April through May). Produced in 2016 and 2017, I selected artisan food vendors that sampled products with Green Door Gourmet organic strawberries, food trucks, and bluegrass headliners for Pickin Party series while managing a team of 20 part-time seasonal staff members. This event drew 20,000 attendees to the farm throughout the season.
Marketing efforts for u-pick strawberry season included: printed flyers and handouts in surrounding communities; placements in the following publications, Nashville Lifestyles, Nashville Guru, Nashville Life, Yelp, Eventful, AllEvents.in, Do615, Eventbu, and WhereEvent; radio promotion on WSMV and Lightning 100, and extensive social media posts on Green Door Gourmet's and selected vendors personal social media pages.
